About.

Chantel is a technical professional in academia. Her most recent practice is in screen and media, where she obtained hands-on experience across both scripted and unscripted broadcast television, covering the full production pipeline—from pre-production development research, production studio, on-location shoots and wrangling, to post-production sync mapping, and edit preparation. With a background in fine art and photography from the renowned Glasgow School of Art, she brings a strong visual sensibility and creative approach to every project. She is technically proficient across camera, lighting, sound, and editing, with expertise in ACES, DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects workflows and processes. Her professional training includes leading institutions such as the National Film and Television School, Soho Editors, the University of Salford, and The Research Centre. In her current role, she ensures smooth technical operations and front-facing services at a dynamic media loan centre, where she supports students and staff in the School of Arts and Humanities with equipment access and technical guidance at Edith Cowan University, the only Australian university named after a woman.

Customer Service Assistant at Renfrewshire Leisure for Renfrewshire Council. Worked across four Townhalls, an art centre and a museum. Skills included liaisoning, cross-team collaboration, time management, regulatory compliance for fire, health & safety, and first aid training. Nominated as Best Team Awards. 

Selected as designated driver for the 2018 European Championships Game officials in Glasgow and acted as a personal assistant for the allocated officials. Responsible for managing their travel diary for the day. Duties included picking up and dropping off officials at various venues before, during, and after the games. Maintained communication with the head office using a mobile handset and filed a report assessment while keeping track of the car's condition.

Selected volunteer Art Liaison for Glasgow Life on Mela Festival and Merchant City Festival. Ensured performing artists were scheduled out on stage within the allocated time. Provided support to the artists, bringing calmness and organisation backstage. Supported the stage manager to ensure the event ran smoothly.

Selected volunteer Art Assistance for the Tramway during the Summer Arts Program, Refugee Week, and Volunteers Art Week. Assisting in craft workshops for both children and adults. Assisted in the running of the print workshops. Cyanotype print, screen printing, print press, bookmaking, and block printing. The two-day course provides participant training on the colour management workflow from production to post-production. How LUT and colour correction are incorporated from shoot to delivery, why they are crucial.
